I’ve been working on a church newsletter for one year already.. Although I am going to an English-speaking church, we also have lots of Spanish-speaking members.. In fact, they are using the Church’s fellowship hall for their worship and service… Looking at the number of the Spanish-speaking members, I thought of having them featured in the newsletter… One problem though, I can’t speak Spanish, and they are not really good in English too… If I want them to be featured, I might have some trouble looking for the meaning of the words that they are trying to say…
So the only way for me to have them featured, is to have a translator… I might need to meet with them for an interview, and through translation, we’ll be able to understand each other… But sometimes, people can express more through writing…. My plan was, send them a set of questions translated to Spanish, and that they can write their answers in Spanish, then I’ll just use a translation service so that I can have their answers translated to English…
Even we can see a lot of automated translators in the web, the automated one is still not accurate… Sometimes, for long paragraphs, it couldn’t tell the thought of the lines… So having professionals translate and review the work is more reliable.. Of course, I don’t wanna publish stuff that are not accurate…
For their service, I bumped into Translia.. The program has a free translation service too… What else..? These services are just awesome…. Take a peek: po file translation, name translation, and brand translation.. Pretty amazing huh..? Check the site out…
